Conditions

Valley: 12–25°C. High altitude (2,500m+): 2–15°C. Early June: some high passes still snowed in. Late June: most trails open. Check rifugio opening dates at rifugi.net. Tre Cime circuit typically accessible from mid-June.

What to hike

Tre Cime di Lavaredo (10km loop, 3–4h): the iconic walk. Rifugio Auronzo start (€30 toll road or bus). Seceda ridge (Val Gardena, cable car €38 return): alien landscape, 1h gentle walk along the ridge. Alpe di Siusi (cable car from Ortisei): Europe’s largest alpine meadow, wildflowers in June are staggering. Via Ferratas: many open by late June (Brigata Tridentina, Via delle Bocchette).
