Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello (Scarperia, 30 min from Florence). The track: 5.2km through Tuscan hills โ elevation changes, fast sweepers, the 330km/h front straight. Atmosphere: 100,000+ fans on the hillsides. The Ducati grandstand (Tribuna Ducati): a sea of red, smoke flares when Ducati wins (which is often). Camping on the hillsides โ fans arrive Friday, camp through Sunday. Tickets: General admission (prato): โฌ60-100 (bring a chair, sit on the hillside). Grandstand: โฌ100-250. Book 2-3 months ahead at mugellocircuit.it. Getting there: Car from Florence (30 min). Shuttle buses from Florence on race weekend.
Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli (Misano Adriatico, near Rimini). Named after Marco Simoncelli (Italian rider killed in 2011 โ beloved). The track: Shorter, tighter, more technical. Beach + racing: The circuit is 2km from the Adriatic โ race Saturday, beach Sunday (or vice versa). Tickets: GA โฌ50-80. Grandstand โฌ80-200. Getting there: Train to Rimini (1h from Bologna) + shuttle.
Museo Ducati (Bologna, Borgo Panigale): Factory museum โ 60+ bikes from 1946 to present. โฌ18 museum. โฌ38 museum + factory tour (see Panigale V4 production line). Ducati Experience: Ride a Ducati on the museum's indoor track simulator.
