Via Panisperna — the food street. Ai Tre Scalini (#251 — the neighbourhood wine bar, outdoor tables spilling onto cobblestones, €5-7 wine + snacks). Via Urbana — the quiet parallel. Grezzo Raw Chocolate (#130 — raw vegan chocolatier, the cacao is extraordinary). Art galleries. A launderette that's become a social space.

Piazza della Madonna dei Monti. The fountain is the social nucleus — every evening from 6pm, young Romans sit on its steps with wine and beer bought from the alimentari across the street (€3 for a bottle, drink on the fountain). This is the Roman aperitivo at its most democratic — no bar, no table, just a public fountain and other people. Weekends in summer: the piazza is a party without walls.
Via Leonina 46. Weekends 10am-8pm. €2 entry. Indie designers, vintage fashion, handmade jewellery, one-of-a-kind bags. NOT a flea market — everything is curated, fixed prices, designer-made. The anti-Porta Portese. Where Roman creatives sell to each other.
