Cosmoprof itself requires trade accreditation. However, during the fair week, Bologna hosts: Cosmo Talks (conferences, some public), beauty brand pop-ups in Via Indipendenza and the Quadrilatero market area, and special events at Bologna's pharmacies and beauty shops. Bologna's food scene is also in peak form — the fair crowd fills every restaurant.
Italy's beauty tradition runs deeper than fashion. Santa Maria Novella pharmacy (Florence, 1221), Acqua di Parma (1916), Officina Profumo (ancient apothecary traditions).
