Is the Ferrari Museum Worth It? (2026)

Maranello and Modena — two museums, one legendary brand. The car lover's pilgrimage.

Plan your Italy trip →
✅ For car enthusiasts: essential. For everyone else: surprisingly fun.Even non-car people get swept up by the design, engineering, and sheer beauty of these machines.

Two museums, different experiences

Museo Ferrari Maranello: The main museum next to the factory. Current F1 cars, racing simulators, rotating exhibitions on Ferrari's competition history. You can book factory tours (the actual production line) and test drives on the Fiorano track in a Ferrari (€80-200 for a passenger ride, €400+ to drive). €22 entry.

Museo Enzo Ferrari Modena: Enzo's birthplace and childhood home, with a stunning yellow aluminum exhibition hall. Focuses on Enzo's life story and vintage cars. More emotional, more historical, less about current models. €22 entry. Combo ticket for both: €32.

Getting there

Both are in Emilia-Romagna. Shuttle bus connects the two museums (20 minutes). From Bologna: 40 minutes by car/bus to Maranello. A day trip from Florence, Milan, or Venice is doable but tight. Best combined with Modena's food scene (balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano, tortellini) and a Ferrari drive for the full Emilia experience.

💡 The test drive: Sitting passenger in a Ferrari on the Fiorano track (€80-150) is a controlled adrenaline rush. Driving one yourself (€400+) is a lifetime memory. Book well ahead through the museum's official site or local operators.
