Chains: Wash&Dry (biggest chain, Rome/Florence/Milan/etc.), Speed Queen, LavaRapido. Google Maps "lavanderia self-service" + city name. How it works: select a free machine, add clothes + detergent (vending machine on-site €0.50–1 for pods), insert coins (€3–5 for wash, €2–3 for dry) or pay at the central machine with card. Cycles: 30–45 min wash, 20–30 min dry. Hours: many are 24/7 or 7am–10pm (unstaffed). Tips: bring your own detergent (cheaper). Use the dryer sparingly (air-drying is free). Some have free WiFi.
