Marsala wine
Must-SeeVisit Florio, Pellegrino, or Donnafugata cellars in Marsala town. Vergine (dry) for sipping, Superiore for cooking. The Riserva aged versions are extraordinary.
Pupi Siciliani (puppet figures)
Must-SeeHandcrafted Sicilian marionettes โ armoured knights from the Opera dei Pupi tradition (UNESCO). The Cuticchio family in Palermo still performs and sells traditional figures.
Modica chocolate
Must-SeeAztec-method chocolate โ cold-processed, grainy texture, intense flavour. Antica Dolceria Bonajuto (since 1880) is the benchmark. Flavours include chilli, vanilla, and citrus.
