1. Fiorita di Castelluccio (Umbria/Marche border, late May-mid July): Italy's most spectacular natural event. The high plateau (1,452m) below Monte Vettore blooms with MILLIONS of wildflowers — poppies, cornflowers, lentil flowers, narcissus — creating a patchwork of red, yellow, blue, purple visible from kilometers away. Peak: mid-June (but varies yearly — check social media for current bloom status). 2. Giardino di Ninfa (Lazio, April-May): Roses and wisteria climbing medieval ruins beside a stream.
